Michelle Mathias is a painter, sculptor and teacher.  Since 2006 she has lived in San Francisco, Vancouver, Paris, Santiago and South Beach, Miami.  She has her Post Baccalaureate in Fine Arts “with distinction” from the University of California at Berkeley. She has had several solo exhibitions:  Embarcadero One in San Francisco, the Richmond Art Gallery, the Seymour Art Gallery, and Circle Craft on Granville Island in Vancouver.  In 2000 she attended Pilchuck Glass School on a scholarship.  In 2007 she won “Best in Show” at Oakland’s Crucible.  Mathias has done several public art projects in the Vancouver area, most notably the Heritage Mountain Community Centre in Port Moody.  Her sculpture can be found in several North West coast galleries in North America.


She presently resides in Vancouver with her studio at 312 Main Street in Vancouver, where she is in the process of setting up cultural exchange painting tours between France, Canada and the United States.
